Bau is coming to town today to get the rest of his stuff (all…two? boxes worth)  I guess we’ll be hanging out or something, I’m not going to make him drive the 6 hours here just to turn around and kick him out for a 6 hour trip back.  We’ve already agreed to be nice to each other while he’s here (there’s been some…moments, lately, of not-so-nice) so I guess if he reneges on his agreement I can kick him out.  😉  But I’m hoping he sticks to the plan lol.

I HAVE FIVE!!!! days of work left and then like three days to clean a bit and then….AND THEN!  Keith will be here.  It just… I don’t even… I’m trying not to think about it too hard, because the closer we get, the more terrified I feel.  Not for any specific reason–I’m not scared about living with him, or anything like that.  But… I’m about to up-heave my entire life?  And that’s terrifying to me, as I’m so used to staying in the safe zone.  This is a GOOD move for me, I know it is–and once we’re on the road, I’ll be fine.  It’s just getting over this little “before” hurdle I’m having trouble with.

My mom had her surgery on Monday.  She had a second carpal tunnel done on her right hand, and an ulnar nerve impingement done on her right elbow.  She’s in this HUGE…er…cast-like thing?  but so far she seems to be doing fine.  She goes back to work today (Saturday).

We had to go in to learn the new safes at work yesterday.  They’re suuuuuuper easy and I probably could have figured out how to do it on my own, buuut it’s probably good we did a bit of training.  Though honestly… I only have five days left?  So it doesn’t really matter one way or another.

And…I think that’s about it!  I have a TON of cover reveals, blitz posts, and other fun stuff scheduled to come in the next few weeks (YAY!)  Also, been working on my reviews–slowly but steadily getting through those ARC backlogs, though… I keep adding more on.  OH WELL, this is my life now!  I’m totally cool with that!

How are you guys?!

    • Hi, Alyssa!

Yes, I have 5 days of work and then about about 5? days after that before I move! It’s SO CLOSE I can taste it! Haha, thank you for the well-wishes! Much appreciated!

I’ve heard SUCH good things about her books, I can’t wait to actually pick one up–I’ve been looking forward to The Forgetting for what feels like ages!

      Happy weekend! ❤

  1. So many new books this week! I don’t know a lot about any of these although some of the covers look familiar to me. It sounds like you are going through a lot of changes in your life. It can be very exciting. I am glad your mom is doing well with her surgery. I have carpal tunnel and was referred to a surgeon but never made an appointment. I don’t want surgery!

    • I knooooow… I have SUCH a huge book buying problem, lmao! I need help.

Also, thank yooou! Here’s hoping you can hold off on surgery a while longer. I hear that if you do the right exercises and wrist care, you can at least stop hurting so badly? Have you looked into any of that?

Loved the new signature to match all those looovely penguins you already had around!! Also, crazy week, I’m late with the book thang we should be doing =( SORRYYYYYYYY
