Because c’mon–you think those characters with the hearts of ice, the unbreakable wills, the huge tendency to bully DON’T jam out to the mushy-gushy on their iPods sometimes?
I am of the firm opinion that villains, just like everybody else, have a love song they just can’t help but…well…LOVE!
This will be a consistent new feature on my blog–probably posted every Monday. Because there are a LOT of villains, and a LOT of love songs, out there to match… and I’m bound and determined to do it!

VILLAINOUS LOVE SONGS
I just… I feel like this song pretty much sums up everything Magneto feels. I mean THINK about it–and really, really listen to the words of this song. I’m pretty sure they’re a fitting pair. And you all KNOW Magneto doesn’t do actual love songs, so…
Caroline Bingley/Caroline Lee
(Pride & Prejudice; The Lizzie Bennet Diaries)
Okay, okay, okay–hear me out won’t you?! So…I think the following should happen. Someone write a book–a retelling of P&P from CAROLINE’S perspective. And then. AND THEN! Someone else write a book where Caroline–CAROLINE!–is the one in love with Jane. And my song choice will suddenly make SO much more sense. Seriously, though…listen to the lyrics and tell me this isn’t a fitting pairing. Also, listen to the lyrics and tell me you can’t see Caroline, in some dimension, being in love with Jane. It needs to happen. SOMEONE WRITE IT!
(American Horror Story: Murder House)
GUYS–HUGE HUGE HUUUUUUUUUUUGE NSFW warning on the above video. Seriously, do not watch it at work. Or at school. Or….anywhere near your parents. Or your children. That being said–I JUST COULDN’T HELP MYSELF?! This song screams Tate Langdon, and that one small scene that I won’t mention because spoiiiiiiiiilers. Seriously though, this. THIS is a great pairing. (also, I’m sort of obsessed with this song? don’t ask why, I have no clue)
AND THERE YOU HAVE IT!
Villains…and the love songs they don’t want anyone to know they rock out to.
If villains in your world had a favorite love song, which would it be? Let me know what you think of this post below–or feel free to jump in and post your own pairs!
Until next time, happy book-ing!
