So, bright and early this morning (and by bright, I mean the sun wasn’t even awake yet, which totally contradicts this entire statement.  someone explain to me why this phrase is even a thing?) the husband and I stepped outside to head to work.  Nothing weird or sinister there, we do this at least five days a week.

But this morning!  I just happened to glance down the block a ways…and noticed a swarm.  I don’t know what they were–the husband swears they were birds, despite the fact that birds aren’t normally awake before the sun.  They were awfully interested in swooping around and around and around this one specific streetlamp.  Maybe they were hunting bugs.  Maybe they were bats.  Either way, it was 4:45 in the morning and it was SOOPAH creepy.  I’ve never seen anything like it.

My work schedule has gone back to normal, which means I spent more of my two days off this last week TRYING to catch up on reading.  I didn’t really succeed, but I DID finish three books in less than two days,so there’s that.  I’m going to try to go back to reading in the afternoons after work, but…we’ll see what happens there.  Sometimes blogging gets in the way, you know?

Also, I’m going to be updating my review policy and about my blog pages, as well as FINALLY putting my penguin rating buttons into motion–keep an eye out for these things in the next few days!

  1. That swarm of unknown creatures sounds creepy and awesome all at the same time, haha. I’m glad your work schedule has gone back to normal 🙂 Three books in two days is an amazing effort!! I hope you can find even more time to read.

Also, the cover for Tail & Trouble is soooo cute.
