Why I want it: I heard about this book on a Booktuber’s video recently and just….I immediately went searching for it on Goodreads. I just really, really need to read it, basically.

Why I want it: I read For Darkness Shows the Stars last year, and really enjoyed it. So…it’s only OBVIOUS I’d want to read the second one, right?!

They both have solid goodreads reviews! I trust the reading community, so one of the very first things I look before I buy a book is see how close it is to an average 4.0 rating on goodreads. lol

No worries, I do that too–look at the ratings, at least. If I REALLY want to read the book, though, I read it regardless…which is why I’ve read some books with pretty dismal ratings! How else are you going to know if you’ll like them otherwise?! Also, there have been a few books with really high ratings on Goodreads…that I loathed. So…That’s my two cents on that, but I get where you’re coming from definitely.

Yes–that’s both the good AND the bad of this community, in my opinion…because I already have so many I want/need to read, and I’m constantly finding more! It’s never-ending. XD

Do you have to read book one before book two? And book #1 has a lot going on with that cover, which is why I like it so much! The blurb is very interesting and doesn’t give anything away.

No, I don’t think you HAVE to–reading the blurb for book two, it sounds like it follows a different set of characters? I imagine there might be small spoilers from book one in the second, though…I dunno for sure!
