The lovely, blogtastic Eve Messenger tagged me in this post over here –the absolute sweetheart that she is!  Thank you, Eve–you rock my toe socks!  If you’re reading this and don’t know Eve yet, gogogo and fix that right now!

First, the Rules. . .

Display the award on your blog.
Announce your win with a post.
Link the blogger who awarded you.
Present 6 deserving blogs with the award.
Link your awardees in the post and let them know of their being awarded.
Write seven interesting things about you.

Seven Facts About Me:

–I read very quickly.  If I’m determined (or really into the story) I can finish up to three books a day, depending on length.  I’ve done it before.
–I used to work in a bakery.  I was told I was a natural at cake decorating.  I often miss the work–but I don’t miss the company.
–I love, love, LOVE haiku.  Writing, reading, you name it!
–I also love artwork, though I’m not nearly as good at art-ing as my mom and grandma.
–Bad boys as book love-interests are all the rage with me.  Examples:  Will (from the Infernal Devices trilogy, by Cassandra Clare); Koschei the Deathless (from Deathless, by Catherynne M. Valente); Poet (from Trick, by Natalia Jaster).
–I have such high skin-sensitivity to metals, I can’t even wear hypoallergenic earrings.  I break out within five minutes.
–When I get a brain freeze, it ALWAYS starts in my lower back/kidneys and moves up.  I swear, I’m part robot.

I Nominate:

Morgan @ Bookenstein
Michelle @ Book Adventures
Emily @ Be Book Smart
Ali @ Book Lover Thoughts
Kelsey @ A Book is a Girl’s Best Friend
Jess @ Jess’ Reading Nook

  1. Three books in a day, wow, I wish I could read that fast! That’s a trip about how your brain freeze starts–I kind of dig the idea of you as a super nice, book-loving cyborg.Haiku-now that you mention it, I think I love it, too, but I don’t think about it nearly enough. Hey, when I was in high school I worked part-time at a bakery, too. We’ll have to swap stories sometime.

    • I don’t read that much these days, because work and life and other things, but yes–if I’m really in a reading mood, I can do at least 3 a day. 😀

It’s really crazy, isn’t it?! I don’t even know what that means, honestly–and it hurts SO MUCH WORSE than the actual brain freeze! I don’t get it, and I’ve never met anyone else who has the same thing happen. XD

      Yes, we totally should!

  2. Thank you for the nomination!
Three books in one day is pretty impressive. I can usually get through one, but I usually get too distracted to read more than one book a day. I blame my cats for that.
Working in a bakery sounds like fun, but I think I would gain a lot of weight because I would want to eat everything.

  4. Oh my god. Reading three books in one day. Now that’s something I wish I could do myself. Seems like I’m just adding three books to my TBR every day.

By the way, we’ve nominated you for another award ! Wonder if we can get you to finish three awards per day too ! 😀 Joke, joke. Hope you enjoy the award ! 😉
